The boat belongs to Christoph Homeier, the current
European champion. The boat is from last year.
We were racing on a course together with Europe's and Laser.
The laser guy that hit Christoph was a beginner, he(on port)
tried to go behind Christoph(on starboard) but his main
sheet got stuck in the process.
There was a loud bang when he hit him. After that there
was some more noises, most of them coming out off
Christoph's mouth. It happened just before the Finishing line,
at the time Christoph was 2nd, 10-15 boats length behind me.
Karsten Kraus was 3rd about 50-60 boats length behind us.
The boat should be completely repaired tomorrow, its
Karsten Kraus who is fixing it. Some times after the worlds
Karsten will redo the fix with some new wood from Vito. Since
the boat is quite new and Karsten is an excellent boat builder
I don't expect that anyone can see the repair afterwards.
Gil, take a look at GER-395 next time you are around, its has
had a even bigger hole and you cant see any damage on it.
(also Karsten repaired that one)
Best regards
Soren

The Bonezzi was safed by some Race Comitte Boats.
Good to have 100KG postive bouyance...
