Danish Nationals 2007 was held in Hellerup Sailing club located just north of Copenhagen. 15 Danish sailors participated together with 1 Finnish, 1 Swedish and 2 German sailors. The regatta was together with the 49'ers which also had there nationals.

 10-12 races were planned for the weekend, short courses (around 35 minutes for the first boat)

 First race saw Den-44 Soren Andreasen in the lead, the race was cancelled after 30 minutes and at that time the boats had only just sailed around the top mark (very light winds) After some wainting on land boats were sent out on the water again. The wind had then picked up and the trapeze was used for the first time.  The race was again led by Den-44 but Den-33 Jacob lunding had showed exellent tactical skills and passed Den-44 on second upwind and managed to stay ahead of Den-44 til the finish.

Second race, Den-33 was leading around the top mark and never gave away that position!

Some boats had a premature start in 3rd race, one of them being Den-33 that then scored a OCS in that race. Race 3 was the last race of the day and the sailors went back in. At the club there was Chili con carne and free beer for all the sailors.

Day 2. The wind had picked up to 10-15 knots and the first 3 races was won by Den-44 Soren, in the 4th race of the day Den-44 Soren was capsized in the start because of a collision with young rockie Den-59 Magnus Dalgaard. Den-33 Jacob was leading around the top mark and won the race, Soren managed to recover from the capsize and finished 2nd.

5th race was the last race of the day, it was started in flunky light winds that were constantly changing in strength and direction. Den-2401 Bjarke Johnsen showed good tactical skills and was leading the race from start to finish. Bjarke also won the last 2 races in the silver fleet during the 2007 world championship and he won the last race at the Aarhus partyweek regatta, strange statistics!
