The Contender World Championship 2007 held at Medemblik, Holland from 13-20 July.

The Contender Worlds of 2007 are organised by the DCA  www.contenderzeilen.nl and Royal Yacht Club Hollandia www.ryc-hollandia.org well known for the organisation of the Worlds in 2000 (110 boats).

Hollandia also organise the Olympic Classes Holland Regatta (each year in May).

 

 

 

 

This year’s World Series are preceded by an even more famous event: the Open Dutch Nationals.

 

 

The Nationals are sailed at the IJsselmeer on the  east shore at Workum.  

 

 

This 3 days event starts on saturday July 7th and ends on monday 9th. This years nationals are organised by ZV Workum, http://nijefurd.net/zvw  Sorry, this site gives only information in Dutch. Both the Nationals and the Worlds are good to combine and makes your voyage to the Netherlands even more worthwhile.
